Gulf University – Kingdom of Bahrain is organizing the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Development and Innovation (ICSDI 2025). This conference will take place on 16th – 17th November 2025 at The Art Hotel & Resort, Kingdom of Bahrain.
ICSDI 2025 provides a leading forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of sustainability, law, governance, environmental science, and technological innovation. The conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, and academicians to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and practical solutions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The theme of ICSDI 2025 is: “Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future”
This theme emphasizes the role of cross-sectoral collaboration, technology, and policy in addressing sustainability challenges. The conference will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, technical paper presentations, workshops, and networking sessions.
The ICSDI conference is organized to provide a collaborative international platform for the scholars, researchers, academicians, professionals, and industrial stakeholders to share their thinking, research findings and experiences with multidisciplinary experts.

With a PhD in ICT from De Montfort University (UK) and over 20 years of experience in teaching, IT, and knowledge management, I’ve had the privilege of shaping educational programs that bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry needs.
In 2016, I co-founded AswadWeb ICT & Software Solutions, reflecting my entrepreneurial approach to digital transformation. My research interests include machine learning, deep learning, smart cities, and intelligent systems—but I’m equally passionate about making cybersecurity education accessible to youth and educational institutions.

Professor Mohammad Nurunnabi holds the UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Development, Green Skills and Climate Actions. He is the Director of Center for Sustainability and Climate (The first sustainability and climate think tank in Saudi Arabia), Prince Sultan University (PSU), Saudi Arabia. He is a global think tank leader on sustainability and climate with 18 years of experience. He is the Founder and President of Vision for Sustainable Africa (VSA), the only international NGO bringing all 48 African countries together for Sustainable & Climate Actions and Solutions. He is a consultant of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), L20 (Labor 20), UNESCO, Saudi Investment Bank, General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises. His article on Saudi Vision 2030 was the most downloaded article in the world after the announcement of Saudi Vision 2030. Based on Stanford University World’s Top 2% Scientists, 2024, he is RANKED # 1 in Business in Saudi Arabia. Based on ScholarGPS (Highly Ranked Scholars 2022), he is also RANKED # 3 in Accounting in the world. Under his leadership PSU became the second private university in the world (outside US) to earn AACSB accounting accreditation in 2022. He has published over 160 articles with over 10,000 citations. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of PSU Research Review: An International Journal, Emerald. He was awarded as a Platinum Leader by the IMA, USA.
He is engaged with the high-level committees on SDG agenda in Saudi Arabia and globally. He is leading the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and also 1st Saudi University to Pledge Net Zero Carbon University by 2060. Under his leadership, PSU became the 1st Carbon Neutral Certified University in the MENA region. He also established Financial Literacy for Women in Business (SDG 5) to support Micro, Small and Medium Business. He is the founding leaders of four global think tank including Center for Sustainability and Climate, Global SME Policy Network, Global Education Policy Network, and Global Islamic Finance, Tax and Zakat Center (GIFTZ Center). He has engaged more than 100 academics from 35 countries to accelerate progress on climate action within and beyond the sector. He has received prestigious awards including PSU President’s Distinguished Research Award, the IMA Faculty Leadership Award from the Institute of Management Accountants, USA, Financial Leadership and Reporting from ACCA, Outstanding Service as an IMA Campus Advocate from IMA. He is a regular invited speaker in the UN, COP 28, COP29, COP 16, Ministries, World Bank, CNBC etc.
